ARRIVAL OF THE J. L. STEPHENS

By the arrival of the John L. Stephens, about 8 o'clock this evening, from Panama, we have advices from New York and New Orleans to Jan. 20th. Memoranda. The P. M. S. S. Company's steamer, John L. Stephens, W. F. Lapidge, commander, with passengers, U. S. Mails and freight, from New York and New Orleans January 20th, left Panama on the 31st January, at 5 o'clock and 20 minutes P.M.. Feb. 1st, at 9 o'clock and 30 minutes, P.M., latitude 72 deg. longitude 31 deg. 50 min., exchanged signals with, and passed the Company's steamer Golden Age.
